I've know about Twitter for quite some time, I even signed up as jwesonga, but I've never really seen its value and use, in fact many times the image it evokes in my head constantly is "Twitter down again" which is usually the headline associated with Twitter on Techcrunch. So when Hash came into town about 2 weeks ago and told me to get on to twitter I brushed it aside, but when he mentioned a neat Adobe AIR twitter app called Twhirl I must admit it aroused my curiosity. So I decided to install Twhirl and start tweeting, I hope thats the right terminology, the Thwirl app blew my mind away with its rich interface, crisp look and easy twitter account setup. So now 2 weeks later I'm a fan of twitter and I try as much as possible to update my status, in fact after BarCamp last weekend I used twitter to ask Hash how come I wasn't appearing in any of the barcamp photos on Flickr :-) he promptly responded. Architectural problems aside Twitter is pretty neat, with its simple interface it gets the job done, I don't know if I'll get hooked into it but I can be sure I'm going to use it a lot during my trip to the States. |

Hi John, I like twitter too and have also noticed that it goes down a lot. Thanks for mentioning twirl because I have been meaning to instal something like that and think that today might be the day for me to do it. Also, please dont forget to look me up when you arrive in the States-Thanks!
