This weekend I'm off to Kampala, Uganda on official business. On this trip I will be meeting Chris Fabian who is the Senior Communications Officer at UNICEF New York, YouthSection, Chris is part of the Innovation team at UNICEF which is doing some very interesting work especially in the area of open source application development and local content check them out here, also part of that team is Seth whose one of the engineers from UNICEF, I will also be meeting with James Wire of Linux Solutions a company that is doing some very interesting work in partnership with Inveneo, also in the meetup is Gabriel Onesmo of Naomba.com, we hope to discuss a lot of stuff and hopefully come up with projects and plans that we can implement in the near future.

The trip will be a good opportunity to network with like minded individuals and also get a chance to exchange ideas. I have always emphasised the importance of partnership  and cross-border partnership more so ,especially when your goals transcend geographical location.
